Post Warm Water Irrigation

There is a risk of Ear Infections after warm water irrigation if you do not follow the following advice.

  1. You must keep your ears dry for 3 days after warm water irrigation
  2. You must not submerge your head under water for 7 days after warm water irrigation
  3. If you wear hearing aids – you must not put them in for 3 hours after warm water irrigation to allow the ear canal to dry
  4. If you are on any blood thinners and or if trauma is caused in the ear canal by hard wax – you must keep your ears dry for 7 days and you must not submerge your head under water for 2 weeks to allow the trauma to heal
