There is a risk of Ear Infections after warm water irrigation if you do not follow the following advice.
- You must keep your ears dry for 3 days after warm water irrigation
- You must not submerge your head under water for 7 days after warm water irrigation
- If you wear hearing aids – you must not put them in for 3 hours after warm water irrigation to allow the ear canal to dry
- If you are on any blood thinners and or if trauma is caused in the ear canal by hard wax – you must keep your ears dry for 7 days and you must not submerge your head under water for 2 weeks to allow the trauma to heal
